I'm back from the Gold Coast after soaking in as much warmth and sunlight as I can to last me through the cold and dreary two months in Beijing at the end of the year.
The trip was a really relaxing and wholesome six days for me and I enjoyed every bit of it. We cheered for Ness, talked, laughed, swam, sauna'ed, shopped, played cards and Scrabble, sun-baked, slept and stuffed ourselves crazy with Uncle Edward and Aunt Janice's cooking.
The weather also held up and we got only one or two days of slightly overcast sort of weather which gave us the opportunity to "give our skin a break" as Bon put it, and head out shopping at Pacific Fair as well as spend some quality time indoors playing Scrabble and Big 2 (Chinese card game which has the Three of Diamones as the smallest card and the Two of Spades as the biggest).
Nessa's Level Five gym group came sixth in a few events and their entire team came second overall behind the Gold Coast team (aka: The Army) who had the home ground advantage. You may not have come first Nessa, but we're all immensely proud of you. Your team managed to win second place even without me rendering the competition obsolete with cookies and muffins laced with sedatives, just think about what heights you could've reached if you had seriously considered my offer for help **shakes head sadly**.
I'll get around to posting more pics sometime in the following couple of weeks. For now, it's more uni work for me.
